Friday Art

Looking with Fresh Eyes

Speaking of how sometimes it’s good to put a piece of art away for a bit and return to it with fresh eyes (or maybe a fresh brain), here is a piece I have grown to love!

It’s funny, I like this one more every time I look at it. I think it may be the layers below peaking out, and the textures too. No art making today though, I have torn the studio apart for spring cleaning! It was 74 degrees here, very warm and the snow is gone, and I am feeling like everything needs airing out and reorganizing! What’s it like where you are? Happy Friday!

I love this piece so much! I can just imagine how much better it is in person, photos never do art justice! It's supposed to be the middle of autumn here but it hit 34 degrees celcius today and was still warm enough to take the kids to the lagoon for a swim! I think winter might be late this year, not that it really gets cold here much.

So true! Art has a different effect in person. Enjoy the warmth. The water here is TOO COLD yet for a dip, it’s still melting snow lol!!

I really love this piece. All of the texture and the scribbles of pencil - happy sigh

I have recently discovered that “happy sigh” is exactly where I want my art to go!!! Thank you!!

It almost hit 80 today! I started reorganizing my studio last night and didn't finish--I had an enameling class today! I do love your mixed media layers.

I love this! It's 68 where I live. I've been working today, but I would much rather be creating.
